Installing Your Adaptec Media Reader

7 To connect the Floppy Disk drive, you need a Floppy Disk cable

and power cable.

Note: If you do not plan to use the Floppy Disk drive, you

don’t have to complete this step. Skip to Step 8. The other

slots on your Adaptec Media Reader are fully functional

even when the Floppy Disk drive is not active.

– Use an internal power cable to connect a Floppy Disk drive

power connector to the Floppy Disk drive power connector

on the Adaptec Media Reader.

– Use a Floppy Disk cable to connect your computer’s Floppy

Disk drive controller to the Floppy Disk drive connector on

the Adaptec Media Reader.

See the bottom Figure on page 4 to locate the connectors. Refer

to your computer’s documentation for more information.

Close your computer cabinet and reattach the power cord, then

power on your computer.
