2.2.2 Audible Alarm

An 80db audible alarm, which is controlled by the RAID firmware, is mounted on the

RAID controller to indicate any of the following events:

• State of controller upon boot-up

• Change in the normal state of the array

• Change of controller environmental status (during normal operation)

• Failure of hardware that the controller manages

LED Description

A0, A1, B0,

B1, C0, C1,

D0, D1

Shows activity on SATA port A0 / A1 / B0 / B1 / C0 / C1 / D0 / D1.

S When illuminated, the controller's IOP is in reset mode.

T Indicates data transfer to the controller’s cache memory.

Sum When illuminated, there is data transfer on one or more SATA ports.

P66

When illuminated, PCI bus frequency is 66MHz. When not illuminated, PCI bus

frequency is 33MHz.

3V3 Shows 3,3 volt current on the PCI bus.

5V Shows 5 volt current on the PCI bus.

LEDs on Reverse Side:

S = On in Recovery Mode

T = Internal Data Transfer

Sum = Activity on any Port

P66 = 66MHz PCI Clock

3V3 = 3.3 Volt available

5V = 5 Volt available

Per Port

Data= Activity per Port

Stat = Disk failed (if Auto Hot
