5 Insert the adapter in the PCI expansion slot. Press the board

firmly into the slot until it clicks into place.

Note: Some ASA-7211 adapters are manufactured with

jumpers “hanging,” but not installed, on jumper

connectors J4 and J5. Do not install these jumpers.

6 Close the computer cabinet and reattach the power cord.

7 Connect Ethernet cables with the appropriate connector type

(either copper or fiber) between the adapter, switches (if any),

and targets.

Note: You need a copper (CAT 5 or CAT 6), or fiber,

Ethernet cable. The cable is not included in the kit.

Next, proceed to Chapter 3 to install the driver in an existing

system or Chapter 4 to create an iSCSI bootable system.
